Gleichwertige Lebensverhältnisse in Deutschland? Methodenhandbuch

Das Handbuch entstand im Forschungsprojekt "Die gesellschaftliche Wahrnehmung und politische Verhandlung des Ziels gleichwertiger Lebensverhältnisse in Ländern und Kommunen". In dem Projekt wurde empirisch untersucht: Welche Aspekte sind Menschen in ausgewählten Kommunen jeweils wichtig, wenn es um ein gutes Leben geht? Mit welchen Orten oder Regionen vergleichen sie ihre Lebensverhältnisse? Und was erscheint ihnen politisch sinnvoll, um etwas für gleichwertige Lebensverhältnisse zu tun? Ziel war es zu erkunden, ob diese Sichtweisen Potenzial für räumliche Konflikte und damit Sprengstoff für den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt bergen und ob sie von den Themen abweichen, die in der Politik als Kennzeichen für "gleichwertige Lebensverhältnisse" betrachtet werden. Zur besseren Einordung der Befunde wurden Interviews mit Vertretern kommunaler Spitzenverbände geführt. Das Handbuch enthält Informationen zur Auswahl der Bundesländer und Kommunen, die Leitfäden für Gruppendiskussionen und Interviews, den Fragebogen sowie den Codierleitfaden. The handbook was produced as part of the research project "The social perception and political negotiation of the goal of equal living conditions in federal states and municipalities". The project involved empirical research: Which aspects are important to people in selected municipalities when it comes to a good life? Which places or regions do they compare their living conditions with? And what do they consider to be politically appropriate in the interests of creating equal living conditions? The aim was to find out whether these views harbor potential for spatial conflicts and thus an explosive threat to social cohesion, and whether they deviate from the topic that are regarded in politics as the hallmarks of "equal living conditions". Interviews were conducted with representatives of municipal umbrella organizations in order to better classify the findings. The handbook contains information on the selection of federal states and municipalities, the guidelines for group discussions and interviews, the questionnaire and the coding guide.
