The Vorarlberg Biotope Inventory records and describes the particularly valuable habitats (biotopes) of Vorarlberg. The following criteria are crucial for inclusion in the biotope inventory: Degree of naturalness, rarity, occurrence of protected species (animal and plant species), occurrence of endangered species and communities, ecological welfare effect, landscape planning significance, national cultural significance, scientific significance The first survey of Vorarlberg's biotopes took place between 1984 and 1989. The inventory was updated from 2005 to 2009. Further information (municipal reports, photos and species lists) can be found in the VOGIS Atlas and on the country's homepage. Reported for INSPIRE.
