Supplemental data for: Characterizing the performance of bedding materials for dairy cows using cyclic impact tests

This data contains supplemental data used in the Master's thesis, "Characterizing the Performance of Bedding Materials for Dairy Cows Using Cyclic Impact Tests". The goal of the research was to investigate how the type and quantity of bedding material affected its impact properties. The LOAD_CELL files contain the voltage recorded by a digital strain gauge, along with the associated peak force during impact derived using this data. The ACCELEROMETER files contain the maximum z-axis acceleration recorded during each impact by an accelerometer, in units of g. The "Tracker" document contains data collected manually during the testing process. The "Calibration" document contains the calibration history of the machine, and compares the results to the nominal formula. The "Analysis" file contains values derived using the data in these documents, and is intended as an accompaniment to the thesis.
