Tailings Properties (Consistency Properties)

A specialised database is being developed that compiles the consistency properties of mining tailings (almost 800 samples), integrating information on location, fine grain size, Atterberg limits, densities, soil classification (USCS, AASHTO, ESCS). The dataset allows the variability of fine materials (<0.075 mm) to be characterised according to mineral type, depth and discharge distance, providing a robust comparative framework for analysing the mechanical and hydraulic behaviour of tailings and their relationship with classic consistency indices.
