Experimental dataset on sequential, parallel and consecutive PSO–GA hybrid metaheuristics

This dataset provides the experimental results associated with the paper “Sequential, parallel and consecutive hybrid evolutionary-swarm optimization metaheuristics” (DOI: 10.1007/978-3-031-97554-7_15). It contains full-fidelity outputs (full fitness histories) for five algorithms: GA, PSO, and three PSO–GA hybrid variants (sequential PGSHEA, parallel PGPHEA, and consecutive PGCHEA). Experiments were performed on seven benchmark functions (Ackley, Griewank, Levy, Michalewicz, Rastrigin, Schwefel, Shifted Rotated Weierstrass) across dimensions n ∈ {10, 50, 100, 500, 1000}, with 10 independent runs per configuration. Termination used a fixed evaluation budget (10,000 evaluations for n=10; 25,000 for higher dimensions). The repository includes both raw pickle files and a Jupyter notebook that converts results to CSV files.
