In 2018, Aguascalientes' Lic. Jesús Terán Peredo International Airport (AGU) handled almost 871.2 thousand passengers, up from close to 754.7 thousand a year earlier. The airport is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico who also operates airports such as: Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta (popular tourist destinations), as well as Tijuana and Mexicali on the border to the United States, and Guadalajara - the largest municipality in the state of Jalisco.
