2024 Grand Canyon Tributary eDNA metabarcoding

This dataset contains COI amplicon sequences of aquatic invertebrates from environmental DNA sampling of the Colorado River and its tributaries in Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA. Samples were collected in April 2023 and April 2024 from at 2km intervals upstream in tributaries (0km, 2km, and 4km from confluence) and from the mainstem Colorado River upstream from tributary confluences. eDNA was extracted with Qiagen Blood and Tissue kit, amplified with the fwhF2/EPTDr2n primer set, and sequenced using Illumina NextSeq 2000 150bp paired end P1 kit.
