Number of female victims in road accident deaths India 2022, by age

In 2022, the number of females aged between 25 and 35 years being killed in road accidents amounted to over five thousand across India. Each year, about three to five percent of the GDP of the country was invested in road accidents. About 70 percent of accidents involved young Indians. The country has about one percent of the global vehicle population but it accounted for six percent of the world's road traffic accidents.
