Data and Code for: Persistent Structural Regimes and Rapid Intensification in Atlantic Tropical Cyclones (1851–2024)

This repository contains the minimal data and code required to reproduce the persistence-based structural metric described in: Persistent Structural Regimes and Rapid Intensification in Atlantic Tropical Cyclones (1851–2024) The dataset consists of processed storm time series derived from the publicly available Atlantic HURDAT2 best-track archive maintained by the National Hurricane Center (NHC/NOAA). The included Python script computes a forward-only, multi-scale directional agreement metric using causal rolling windows. This repository is intentionally limited in scope and is provided solely to support reproducibility of the metric presented in the manuscript. It does not include any broader research systems, unpublished methodologies, or operational implementations.
