Proteome database of Photobacterium phosphoreum ANT-2200

Photobacterium phosphoreum is a Gram-negative bioluminescence bacterium that lives in symbiosis with marine organisms. Endowed with luciferase gene, the bacterium emits bluish-green light. This work provides the proteome database of P. phosphoreum ANT-200 by parsing its annotated proteome downloaded from UniProt. Comprising protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues, molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome of the bacterium, this resource should find use in a variety of functional genomics workflow such as deciphering the molecular mechanisms that underpins the symbiosis between the bacterium and marine organisms.
