Data For: Gangloff et al. Behavioral metrics and hierarchical movement modeling reveal patterns of within and among variation at different time scales in neonate garter snakes (Thamnophis elegans)

These data result from behavioral experiments on captive-born neonate garter snakes to test for drivers of variation in movement patterns, habituation, and defensive behaviors. "Gangloffetal2021_BehaviorData.csv" includes data from snake behavioral trials, including tongue-flick rate, movement speed, escape latency, and area explored. "Gangloffetal2021_MovementData.csv" provides fine-scale movement data from the open field test portion of the behavioral trials.
