Carbon amendments in agricultural production can benefit soil properties, crop production, and the environment. However, the long-term effects resulting from different combinations of amendments and agricultural practices remain understudied. We investigated the long-term impact of two fertilizer management strategies (poultry manure compost vs. mineral fertilizer) and a walnut shell biochar amendment on soil aggregation, soil organic C, and microbial community dynamics in soil aggregate fractions in corn-tomato rotations.
