This is the complete dataset that supports the findings of the following manuscript with title: A hydrological switch drives the transition from saltmarsh to peat-forming peatlands. The purpose of this study is to highlight the biogeomorphological functioning of reed vegetation in saltmarshes and its effects in the hydrological conditions and the landscape state. This dataset contains, (1) the model scripts and the main model variables' results, (2) datasets and scripts for the reed cover analysis in the Saeftinghe saltmarsh, (3) scripts and kml files for the elevation analysis in the Saeftinghe saltmarsh, (4) salt content and elevation measurements for the reed and Scirpus vegetation patches from the Saeftinghe saltmarsh, along with the analysis scripts. The README.txt file explains the folder contents in detail and how to use the files from the separate categories.
