scRNAseq of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in age-related macular degeneration

We profiled using single cell RNA sequencing the peripheral blood mononuclear cells from control patients and patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Overall design: We collected blood by venous blood draw into K2EDTA-coated BD Vacutainer Venous Blood Collection Tubes. To purify peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), we centrifuged the blood, isolated the buffy coat, and lysed red blood cells leaving nucleated cells behind. We performed single cell RNA sequencing using the 10x Genomics platform.
