Mapping multi-temporal population distribution in China from 1985 to 2010 using Landsat images via deep learning

This dataset includes four parts:

(1) The produced multi-temporal gridded population data (1km x 1km) of China from 1985-2010 with a five-year interval. The data is stored in the "population_density" folder. The values in the TIFF files represent the population density of cells. The cell area TIFF is provided to calculate the total population count.
(2) The samples for training, validating and testing the ResNet-N model. The data is stored in the "samples_for_resnet_n" folder.
(3) The town-scale validation data for 2010. The data is stored in the "town_level_validation" folder.
(4) The county-scale validation data from 1990-2010. The data is stored in the "county_level_validation" folder.
