Place cell spiking during running

Spiking of isolated CA1 cells while a rat runs along one track of a 3-arm maze. Only periods of running towards the port are preserved. Sampling frequency is 25 Hz. Smoothing was achieved by applying a 1 Hz low-pass filter (8th order Butterworth applied bidirectionally prior to sub-selecting periods of running).This data set was generated for a mid-semester assessment for an undergraduate Computational Neuroscience course at the Claremont Colleges.
