资源简介:
A recent meta-analysis of the relationship between multidimensional perfectionism and orthorexia showed that the two main dimensions of perfectionism – perfectionistic strivings (PS) and perfectionistic concerns (PC) – were both related to increased orthorexia (Pratt et al., in press). However, generally, there were very few studies and considerable differences in methods used. For example, there were only five studies that examined this relationship in an exercise context and only three of those studies provided enough information to estimate meta-analytical effects in this important context. To improve the evidence-base in an exercise context and to estimate effects with greater precision, more data on the relationship is required. With this in mind, the purpose of the current study is to collect three new independent samples, drawn from an exercise population, and to re-estimate the effects of perfectionism on orthorexia using a continuously cumulating meta-analytical approach. unknown other
