The PGPR (Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria) strain Pseudomonas protegens H78, which isolated from Rape rhizosphere soil in Shanghai surburb, can produce a number of antibiotics and other secondary metabolites. This study can lay the foundation for clarifying the global and pathway-specific regulatory mechanism of secondary metabolism by omics and molecular biological technology and for metabolic engineering of antibiotics. In addition, this study can supply a new way to search new valuable secondary metabolites.
