#Sonar Opinion Polls: #-------------------- #From August 1989 Sonar has regularly carried out a number of opinion polls, i.e. surveys of attitudes and habits of life of the adult Danish population. The opinion polls have been carried out approx. 10 times a year, and each opinion poll includes about six different subjects as well as the question of the respondent's voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day of the interview. # The opinion polls have been carried out in collaboration with the daily paper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. In addition, the individual opinion polls are found in DDA-1681 to DDA-1689. # #This survey (DDA-1687 Sonar Opinion Polls 1990: September) deals with the following issues: #Party preference; attitude to background music (muzak) in shops and in restaurants; book reading habits; type of literature preferred; attitude to the Budget for 1991 (which predicts a state deficit of 16 billion D. Kr.); attitude to higher taxes and dues versus a reduction of public expenditure to counterbalance the budgetted deficit; spare time activities in the winter (night school, sports, etc.); preferred date for the next general election; TV 2 versus DR TV; and commercials on TV 2
