Reciprocal PDGFA signaling activates regenerative fibroblasts that support alveolar epithelial cell differentiation and repair, providing a potential therapeutic strategy to influence the pathogenesis of IPF. Overall design: PNX of mice, with or without RA pretreatment, followed by RNA Sequencing of the Epithelial (Epcam+) or Fibroblast (Pdgfra+) lung cells was used to study lung repair and regeneration. Pdgfra+ Lung Cells from inidividuals with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
