Whole Genome Sequence data of Njavara rice (Oryza sativa (L.))

Njavara rice is a medicinal rice variety grown only in Kerala. Two types of Njavara are available Black glumed and Yellow Glumed, both of them are extensively used in Ayurvedic preparations and are very well possess healing properties. These varieties also show very low glycemic index. The whole genome data of Black glumed Njavara rice variety could delineate its potential and uniqueness among the other rice varities.
