Whole Genome Sequencing of Scirpophaga incertulus. Scirpophaga incertulas isolate:IIRRYSB17

In the changing dynamics of pest resistance especially in an important food crop like rice, it is very much essential to design strategies for pest control. In the present study we have the whole genome sequencing of Scirpophaga incertulus was executed using two next generation sequencing libraries viz. short gun and mate pair sequencing on the NextSeq 550, Illumina platform. The data emanated information on various crucial metabolic pathways and genes for the first time in YSB. The genes were annotated and compared with other related species for understanding the differences between infection processes.
