Microbial community associated with larvae of Anastrepha obliqua

The aim of this line of research, is to compare the microbiota and microbiome of the A. obliqua larvae that infest Spondias purpurea, Mangifera indica and Averrhoa carambola using whole metagenome sequencing or metatranscriptomic. This information contributes to the understanding of how insect-microorganism interactions could influence the ability of A. obliqua to use plant resources from different plant families, providing useful knowledge for applied and evolutionary approaches.
