Laser dissection assisted transcriptomics reveals the role of the phloem in coordination of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) responses to clubroot disease

Phloem regions from Plasmodiophora brassicae infected and control, mock-inoculated plants were collected from the hypocotyls, and from the petioles of the first fully expanded true leaves, of Brassica napus cultivar Harry plants at 7 days and 12 days post-inoculation. RNA-Seq libraries were prepared from RNA which was extracted from laser-capture microdissection of phloem tissue from transverse sections.
