VPRS 13613 Technical Manuals

This series consists of technical manuals created by the Vehicle Traction Division of the Public Transport Corporation (VA 2984). Manuals provided detailed specifications for electrical components. Maintenance instructions, with accompanying photographs, were also included for the assembly and disassembly of parts.Where specifications were recorded, pages within the manual were divided into two sides. The left hand side contained an illustration of the part; a drawing number; a description which included part numbers; the plant from which the drawing was completed; date; and signature of the supervising officer. The right hand side contained an inspection table that recorded check points; a description of the inspection; inspection period; and the required reference and/or remedy if required. Where applicable more detailed general descriptions were written that often included photographs.
