This dataset was created from the Irish Army Census, 1922 collection. This transcript includes a number of normalised and additional columns relating to ranks, geographic parameters and personnel details. This version of the database was utilised for the production of the author's monograph, The Irish Free State and the National Army, 1922-24 (Routledge, 2026). This version of the database is fully available for fellow researchers and is drawn from the original census documents released via the Military Archives of Ireland.
