资源简介:
This data was compiled for a data synthesis of plot scale studies aimed at understanding the impact of vegetation on soil-air temperature coupling throughout the permafrost region. The aim of this study was to determine whether vegetation impacts on soil temperature were consistent across a broad geographic scope and multiple studies. The data synthesis originated from discussions in the annual Permafrost Carbon Network meeting recognizing the need for a comprehensive assessment of plot scale studies of vegetation and soil temperature. Observations were compiled from 32 collaborators with 235 unique locations, and were initially collected as part of individual field studies lead by each collaborator. All soil and air temperature data were averaged at the daily timescale prior to inclusion in this data set.
