The range of exoproteins and core exoproteome of 14 S. aureus isolates representing the major lineages associated with asymptomatic carriage and clinical disease in the United Kingdom were identified by mass spectrometry proteomics using a combined database and underwent Illumin HiSeq sequencing. 8/14 strains were MRSA. The strains included representatives of Sequence Types (ST) 1, 5, 8, 15, 22, 25, 30, 36, 109, 239, and 1460.
