Lithium-Ion Battery Cycling Dataset at 1C, 2C, and 2.75C Discharge Rates
收藏资源简介:
Overview This dataset contains cycling test data from three lithium-ion battery cells subjected to repeated charge–discharge cycles under controlled conditions. The experiments were conducted from April to September 2025 using a custom-developed battery testing system that continuously records degradation parameters. Each cell was tested at a different discharge C‑rate (1C, 2C, or 2.75C) to represent various usage intensities commonly encountered in electric vehicle and high-power applications, while maintaining a consistent charge protocol across all cells. The dataset is specifically designed to support research in: State of Health (SoH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimation Degradation modeling under high-rate discharge conditions Validation of physics-based and data-driven battery models Machine learning for time-series prediction of battery behavior Predictive maintenance strategy development Test Setup & Conditions Parameter Description Cell type Three commercial 18650-type Li‑ion cells (LiFePO₄ / LFP chemistry) Nominal capacity 1800 mAh Temperature Constant 30 °C throughout the entire cycling period Charge protocol Constant current–constant voltage (CC‑CV) charging to 100% State of Charge (SoC) at 1 C rate (1800 mA) Discharge protocol Constant current (CC) discharge down to 30% SoC at different C‑rates:- Cell 1: 2.75 C (4950 mA)- Cell 2: 2 C (3600 mA)- Cell 3: 1 C (1800 mA) Rest period 5 minutes of open‑circuit rest between each charge and discharge step Cycle count Each cell was cycled repeatedly until reaching a predefined end‑of‑life criterion (70% capacity retention) Measured Parameters The recorded data include the following parameters per cycle, with a sampling frequency of 1 Hz: Time (timestamp of each measurement) Mode (0 = Charge, 1 = Discharge) Voltage (V) Current (A) Temperature (°C) – Note: All recorded temperature values are zero. This is because the ambient temperature was actively controlled and held constant at 30 °C throughout the entire experiment; therefore, temperature was not measured as a dynamic variable. Capacity (Ah) Energy (Wh) Data Files The dataset is organised into three main folders, one for each cell (or each C‑rate). All files are provided in CSV format with clear column headers. Intended Use This dataset is suitable for: State of Health (SoH) and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimation Degradation modeling under high‑rate discharge Validation of battery models for electric vehicle or high‑power applications Machine learning for time‑series prediction of battery behaviour License This dataset is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
