Pseudomonas sp. YY-1 Genome sequencing and assembly. Pseudomonas sp. YY-1

Pseudomonas sp. YY-1 is a novel heterotrophic bacterium which is capable of aerobically transforming ammonium into nitrogen gas, and maintain ammonium eliminating ability even at 5 °C. The gram-negative bacterium strain YY-1 could be classed as bacterium capable of heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification. The obtained draft whole genome sequence of this strain can be used for comparative genomic studies and contribute to understand the mechanisms involved in nitrogen metabolism at cold temperature.
