Gene expression profile at the single cell level of vagal ganglia neurons from P4 mice

Vagal neurons are an incredibly heterogeneous population of sensory neurons that are important for homeostasis. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to interrogate their molecular diversity shortly after birth. Vagal neurons from VGlut2Cre;R26-nGFP mice were isolated by fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) according to the presence of nuclear GFP at P4 and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
