16S and COI barcoding sequences for crustaceans and cephalopods in the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Straits from 2015-2016

These are the 16S and COI barcoding sequences for mesopelagic crustaceans and cephalopods. This dataset was generated from specimens collected on five cruises that occurred between May 2015 and August 2016: DP01 (May 2015), DP02 (August 2015), DP03 (May 2016), BLV01 (July 2016), and DP04 (August 2016). This data will allow us to have a DNA barcode for each species we collect as well as identify cryptic species and make adult-larval linkages. All these specimens were collected in the northern Gulf of Mexico.
