Abstract: This videotape shows a cholecystectomy and a common bileduct exploration in 70 year old man who has a single episode of abdominal pain followed by painless jaundice. After subcostal incision the abdomen is explored yielding no abnormalities. There is a hard headed pancreas consistent with a single stone. After the enlarged chronically inflammed gallbladder is removed by the retrograde approach the dilated, bileduct yields three stones. The duct is carfully explored and drained.
