资源简介:
This dataset contains 11 days of ICMP ping measurements collected from a Starlink dish located in Palo Alto, US. The measurements were conducted as part of an evaluation of Starlink's network performance.
Measurement Setup
The architecture consists of a Client connected to Starlink at Stanford University, which continuously pings a Server connected to a terrestrial network. By analyzing traceroute results and the locations of Starlink's ground stations (GSs), we identified that the connection path includes a GS and a Point of Presence (PoP) in San Jose, US, approximately 50 km from Stanford University.
Dataset Details
Measurement period: May 9–20, 2024 (11 days)
Sampling method: Bursts of 10 ICMP packets every 10 seconds
Location: Palo Alto, US (Client) → Terrestrial Server
Infrastructure:
Starlink user terminal (dish)
Identified GS and PoP in San Jose, US
This dataset can be used for network performance analysis, latency modeling, and evaluating satellite internet variability.
