Data from Experimental taphonomy of marine algae and cyanobacteria reveals the decoupling of morphological and chemical decay patterns

This dataset is composed of the data produced during the experiments and preparation of the manuscript "Experimental taphonomy of marine algae and cyanobacteria reveals the decoupling of morphological and chemical decay patterns" by Rut Mayo de la Iglesia, Farid Saleh, Jonathan B. Antcliffe, Pierre Gueriau and Allison C. Daley. The dataset consists of optical microscopy images and multispectral macroimages from the decay experiments of algae and cyanobacteria. It also includes the CSV tables and R Studio scripts employed for the analyses.
