Bird Observation Dataset (2015–2023) form China Bird Report in Heilongjiang Province

This dataset is derived from the China Bird Report and includes bird observation records collected in Heilongjiang Province over a nine-year period from 2015 to 2023. The records are classified according to vegetation phenological periods: Growing season (June to September) & Dormant season (December to March of the following year). Observation data from the remaining months have been excluded from the datase. To quantify the vegetation environment of each bird observation point, Heilongjiang Province was divided into a regular grid of hexagonal cells with 1 km edge length. Within each hexagon, eight vegetation-related variables were extracted: Canopy Vegetation Cover, Understory Vegetation Cover, Wetland Vegetation Cover, Mean NDVI, along with their changes relative to the previous year (ΔCanopy Vegetation Cover, ΔUnderstory Vegetation Cover, ΔWetland Vegetation Cover, and ΔNDVI). All spatial processing was conducted using ArcGIS v10.8.
