资源简介:
We present transcriptomic data of the Antarctic bacterium Pseudomonas sp. TNT3, derived from the pristine environment of Deception Island (Antarctica), in response to the toxic xenobiotic trinitrotoluene (TNT). The transcriptomic data has been submitted to the NCBI's Sequence Read Archive (SRA) to facilitate broader access and exploration of this valuable resource. This study aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms employed by the bacterium to cope with TNT-induced stress, providing insights into the adaptation and survival strategies of microorganisms inhabiting extreme environments. The RNA sequencing-based approach was utilized to generate a high-resolution view of the bacterium's gene expression profile following TNT exposure, shedding light on key biological processes, stress response pathways, and potential detoxification mechanisms. This dataset contributes to our understanding of the physiological and genetic responses of Antarctic bacteria to anthropogenic pollutants and may inform future bioremediation strategies in contaminated environments. Researchers and scientists interested in exploring the complex interplay between environmental stressors and microbial adaptation are encouraged to utilize this valuable dataset.
