We aimed at investigating the link between mitochondrial dysfunction and the upper thermal limit (CTmax) at which neuromuscular functions are lost. Firstly, we reared during five years medaka (Oryzias latipes) over several generations at two differents temperatures, 20°C (COLD) and 30°C (WARM). Then, we measured their CTmax and their mitochondrial oxygen consumption rates (OCRs) at 25°C and at their CTmax.
