VPRS 18934 Building Sub-Committee and Site Redevelopment, Minutes and Reports

This series comprises minutes and reports relating to facilities management, building, redevelopment and master planning for Mount Royal Hospital (VA 1280), Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation Service (VA 5265), and the North Western Health Care Network (VA 5262). This series includes Building Sub-Committee minutes for Mount Royal from August to October 1944. These are the only extant minutes for this sub-committee. The role of the Building Sub-Committee was to provide advice on the development of resources–including allocation of funds–and development of a capital works program. The sub-committee was involved in deliberations about the planning, cost estimation, construction, improvements to, and maintenance of physical facilities and capital works to buildings and amenities. Other records in this series include redevelopment feasibility studies, and master plans for the North West Hospital and related facilities.
