A 10-Hydroxycamptothecin-producing endophytic fungus Xylaria sp. M71 was isolated from Camptotheca acuminata. This isolate M71 was able to significantly increase 10-HCPT yields after induced by salicylic acid for 4 days. In this paper, the transcriptome of Xylaria sp. M71 treated with SA were analyzed to understand the putative pathways involved in 10-Hydroxycamptothecin biosynthesis in fungi.
