Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae is believed to be responsible for non-progressive pneumoniae in sheep, goats and small ruminants, distributes worldwide and causes significant economic loses in both sheep and goat industry. However, little has been known about the gene sequence and structure, hindering the further exploration of the organism. So, the genomic sequence of Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae will be very useful for clarifing molecular biological characteristics of this organism. The strain was isolated from lung of a goat with pneumoniae.
