Images from Archaeological Works at Oldham Road, Newton Heath, Greater Manchester 2022

This collection comprises images from archaeological works on land at Oldham Road, Newton Heath, Greater Manchester, undertaken by Archaeological Research Services. The works identified the truncated remains of a number of mostly mid/late 19th century terraced houses, surfaces and roads. Most of the remains survived only to their foundation courses. One building contained the remains of a cellar which may have functioned as a kitchen or a workshop. The site was entirely demolished in the early 1970's and levelled.
