Monthly mean sea surface temperature (SST) from 2001 to 2022 calculated from data from the SatBaltic System (https://satbaltyk.iopan.gda.pl/). The spatial resolution of the maps is 1 km. The calculation of monthly mean values at each pixel was based on four SST maps on each day of the month. The primary source of SST information was satellite data collected by the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). Gaps in the satellite images due to the presence of clouds were filled using the PM3D numerical hydrodynamic model. Average surface temperature of the Baltic Sea in January 2001
