As detailed in the report for A32-2-857, it took several years to identify and remove the sources of systematic errors in the Rainbow measurements and reach the desired accuracy on photon energy. The instrument is now ready to collect proper data. In addition, a new Eiger 4M CdTe detector to be delivered in september should allow continuous scans of the encoded diamond rotation.
The goal of this proposal is to acquire new more reliable data on systems previously studied with insufficient accuracy.
