LOGG easy-to-use, 2007/2008

LOGG easy-to-use is a user-friendly data file from the Life course, Generation and Gender study (LOGG). LOGG comprises two merged studies: the Norwegian panel study on Life course, Ageing and Generation (NorLAG) and the Generations and Gender Survey (GGS). The study includes a nationally representative sample of individuals aged 18-79 years.

LOGGs main research areas are: health and care, psychological well-being, work and retirement, family and generation; and couple relationships and fertility.

Compared to the original data file, LOGG easy-to-use facilitates access to the data by:
- linking the main survey (telephone interview) with the additional survey (postal questionnaire)
- by including register data from the years before and after the interview
- including ready-made scales and core variables
- filter-coding each variable
- providing more detailed documentation (view http://norlag.nova.no)

The LOGG easy-to-use file is part of the research infrastructure project ACCESS Life Course Database, which is run by NOVA in collaboration with Statistics Norway, and financed by the Research Council of Norway.
