Meta-transcriptome (illumina sequence data) obtained from total RNA (rRNA partially depleted), extracted from six surface sediment samples of a Wadden Sea tidal flat ("Janssand" flat, Germany) that were collected over a tidal cycle in 2h intervals. Main focus of the study is on microbial diversity (taxonomic and functional) of the habitat.
