<p>Global lakes and reservoirs emit methane to the atmosphere. &nbsp;Using diverse lake characteristics data and a lake biogeochemistry model, we estimate global lake methane emissions and investigate the effects of temperature increase, permafrost thaw, and thermokarst lake areal changes for the first and the last decades of the 21st century under different climate scenarios. This data deposit contains the code of the lake biogeochemistry model used for these emission estimates.</p>
