Number of pension recipients in the UK 2023, by weekly amount and gender

As of the first quarter of 2023, the vast majority of UK pension beneficiaries were receiving a weekly payment of 150 British pounds or higher. The ratio of female to male beneficiaries was relatively matched throughout all weekly payment categories. The only outlier from this relatively even gender split was the "80 to 100" British pounds category having a total of roughly 90,000 men and approximately 820,000 women.
