Bacterial 16S-ITS-23S profiling: environmental sample

For this bio project, we profiled 16S-ITS-23S regions from bacteria within our environmental sample. These regions are amplified using domain-specific forward primers in the small ribosomal RNA subunit (16S), domain-specific reverse primers within the large rRNA subunit (23S), and a High Fidelity polymerase. This rRNA operon profiling approach yields an amplicon containing 16S-ITS-23S (4649-5538 bp). This approach allows the identification of the microbial community at species level, and especially the differentiation of a large number of Vibrio spp.
