Helichrysum italicum subsp. italicum transcriptome (pooled from six phenological stages)

Young shoots with leaves and flower buds were collected from one-year-old and disease-free plants of H. italicum subsp. italicum grown at ex situ collection of the University of Primorska, Ankaran, Slovenia. H. italicum shoots were sampled from the end of May until the end of July 2019. Sampling was carried out once per week, thus yielding six sampling time points and consequently six distinct phenological stages (sample 1 - inflorescence emergence, sample 2 - first individual flowers, sample 3 - first flower petals, sample 4 - beginning of flowering, sample 5 - full flowering, sample 6 - flowering finishing). The Spectrum Plant Total RNA kit (Sigma-Aldrich) was used for extracting total RNA. Equal amounts of each RNA sample were combined and finally mRNA of pooled RNA samples was enriched with Dynabeads mRNA DIRECT Micro Purification kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific). The library was amplified on an Ion OneTouch 2 and template positive Ion Sphere Particles were enriched with the Ion OneTouch ES System (Thermo Fisher Scientific) using Ion 520 & 530 OT2 Kit (400 bp option) (Thermo Fisher Scientific).
